Linkpop: Discover Shopify’s social commerce tool

Do you want to turn your social media followers into paying customers? If so, you need to start using Linkpop. Powered by Shopify, this free link in bio tool makes it easy for your audience to buy the products they see on your social media posts. In this article, we will cover everything you need to know about Linkpop. We’ll discuss how it works, what features it offers, and how you can use it to increase sales and grow your business.

What is Linkpop?

Linkpop is a social commerce tool that allows you to create a free page with your top links. It is particuarly helpful if you’re using Instagram or TikTok to promote your products. These links can lead to your website, product pages, landing pages, or any other online destination. When someone clicks on one of these links, they will be taken to the linked page.

Creators and merchants can include important links on the page and also launch storefronts to sell directly on the platforms where they’re engaging with followers. Consumers can then browse a Shopify merchant’s selection of products and make purchases directly on Linkpop without having to leave the app they were using.

Linkpop vs Linktree

You might be thinking, this sounds a lot like linktree. So, how are they different?

Linktree is a link in bio tool that allows you to add multiple links to your profile. Linkpop is similar but it offers a direct link to your Shopify store, making that journey to complete checkout even shorter.

Similarly to Linktree, Linkpop also includes built-in analytics tools that merchants can use to better understand how customers are engaging with their page. They’ll be able to view metrics such as link clicks and unique visitors. Merchants can also customise different parts of their Linkpop page, including the background colour, logo, font and more. You can also upload photos to accompany specific links.

The tool can be used by anyone whether or not they are a Shopify merchant. But, the shoppable links are only available to Shopify merchants. Shopify notes that creators who are just getting started and haven’t launched a business yet can use Linkpop to grow their audience and brand. Once they’re ready to launch their store on Shopify, they can then share products directly on their Linkpop page. Shopify hopes that Linkpop users will eventually want to create a Shopify storefront in order to enable purchases on their Linkpop.

A key difference, at least for now, is that linkpop is free. Linktree also offers a free option but you’re limited with the number of links and design changes unless paying for a premium account.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to set up your own Linkpop page:

  1. First, you need to create a free account on linkpop.com
  2. Once you’ve done that, you can start creating your page. You’ll be able to add links, photos, and a call-to-action button.
  3. You can also customise the look of your page by changing the background colour, font, and logo.
  4. When you’re finished customising your page, you can share the link with your followers.
  5. Linkpop offers a few different ways to share your page. You can share it on social media, embed it on your website, or send it via email or text message.
  6. Once someone clicks on one of the links on your page, they’ll be taken to the linked page
